Aerospace Market News is all about the manufacture of large commercial jets, regional aircraft and general aviation aircraft.

What we have are very detailed production figures which we update every month and send out in electronic format. It is a report, not a news magazine, and it deals solely with the commercial airplane market. Each issue is sent in A4 format as a Word document. You download the file and print off what you want to work with. The big advantage is that you can manipulate the tables, cut and paste data to your own reports and you can share material with colleagues.

Our tables and charts cover large commercial jet transports, regional aircraft, business jets and general aviation. We also have order-book figures for large commercial jet engines.

The tables and charts can be used to keep track of production rates, new orders and deliveries as well as aircraft and engine order books. They are detailed to the extent that one can look up, for example, all undelivered orders for airplane/engine combinations. Our tables also go back in time so that one can, for example, track the backlog development of individual airplane programs, or look up the monthly order and delivery figures of individual programs. We also provide a monthly Market Comment which explains current production trends in the industry.

We send AMN to subscribers by email in a format that can be worked with. The whole idea is to provide very detailed information that can actually be used without re-typing. Most subscribers share their issues of AMN with several other people in their company.

The typical contents of Aerospace Market News :

Each issue of AMN is very similar since we update everything every month. What we have is a standard format every month with the following sections:

Market Comment : This tells you what is going on and what movement there has been in terms of new commercial orders, the unfilled order position for airplanes and engines and what changes there may be to current and future production rates.

The Large Commercial Jet Backlog : Tables here show the latest quarterly and monthly backlog figures for all major and minor jet aircraft programs. These tables enable you to track the backlog development and we also show the composition of the backlog at the end of the previous month.

Regional Aircraft : Every Quarter we provide the latest unfilled order data showing all customers and the aircraft they have on order. Charts show the development of the backlog position.

Production Rates for Commercial Aircraft : Updated every month, we provide the very latest production rate figures for all commercial airplane programs, including business jets and general aviation. There are notes on the current production rates of each commercial aircraft program.

Large Commercial Jets : We have two sections here, the first dealing with new orders, the second showing deliveries. Tables and charts show all orders and deliveries in the last month, the last quarter and in the year-to-date. Both sections list customers and engine choice.

Aircraft Engines : Our tables show all monthly engine orders by major program, the share of the backlog held by program and we also have details of the unfilled order position for all engine variants (e.g. variants of the CFM56-5, GE90, V2500 etc.).

General Aviation : This section, which is updated every Quarter, discusses market trends in the industry and contains tables and charts showing deliveries of all GA models, by quarter and by year. The figures are based on GAMA data but in rather more detail. Charts show both U.S. and world-wide deliveries.

Undelivered Orders - Large Commercial Jets :

This, simply, is a large table running over several pages which lists every airline and leasing customer with undelivered orders at the end of the previous month; showing precisely what they have on order together with the engine choice.

Points of View : Included in the reports on a from-time-to-time basis are the speeches and presentations of industry leaders. We reproduce what was said by people who head manufacturing companies and government agencies. You can use this to be informed about policy decisions and current thinking on the industry.

Industry Forecasts : We also report on the latest forecasts provided by aircraft and engine manufacturers, when these are available.

ISSUE SIZE – Each issue is typically between 60 and 70 A4 pages each month. The download size is around 4.0MB.
